Pups Welcome at The Herwood Inn 🐾
We love hosting dogs at The Herwood Inn and are happy to welcome your four-legged travel companion in our Mitchell Manor and Franklin Flat suites. Up to two dogs per suite are welcome, with a nightly fee of $50 per dog, which helps us keep each space cozy and guest-ready.
We simply ask that suites are treated with care and left in good condition. After check-out, our housekeeping team will inspect the suite. Any pet-related damage will result in a minimum $250 charge, and if repairs exceed that amount, we’ll reach out and charge only the actual cost to fix things properly.
Dogs may not be left unattended for more than two hours (a perfect window for dinner in town), and all pups must be leashed at all times when outside the suite and on property.
If something gets chewed, scratched, or otherwise damaged during your stay, please let us know. We promise we’re far more appreciative of honesty than surprises, and notifying us ahead of departure is always helpful.

CANCELLATION POLICY: prior to 3 pm, 14 days before check in with result in a FULL refund. Cancellations received after 14 days and up to 72 hours prior to your 3 pm check-in will result in a 50% refund. Cancellations within 72 hours or no shows will not be refunded. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process. Cancellation policies can vary for specials, group event bookings or packages.
